You do not necessarily need to include fancy techniques or even big discounts when it comes to making sure the customer service at your company is at a top-notch. Stunts meant to draw public attention will not help you achieve your goals. The things people remember the most are employees who have gone out of their way to show kindness and compassion. Listed below are some of these great stories from around the world. Customer service is there to help solve the challenges shoppers face and it was the case for an 89 years old man at Trader Joes one-off delivery service. Because he could not go out to buy his own groceries, the daughter stepped in to find a supermarket that could offer delivery services for the same. Given that a storm was fast approaching, many of the supermarkets declined the request. Trader Joes one-off delivery service took the order and delivered the goods in half an hour and at no charge. A customer once shared the story of one teenager who went tie hunting in Target. The teenager was in search of a clip-on tie for an incoming interview but Target doesnt have those. One of the employees at Target, Dennis Roberts, showed the teen how a regular tie is tied. He went a step further to show how a proper handshake should be done and how to answer some of the questions asked during the interviews. In the end, the young man secured the job.

Another example of compassionate customer service brought another customer to tears in McDonalds. A senior citizen in a wheelchair went to the cashiers desk in a busy McDonalds branch downtown. The man was looking for help but no one could tell exactly what he needed. The cashier tried to suggest to the man on ways that he could help. He finally realized that the man wanted someone to help him cut up his food and feed him. The cashier closed down the register, donned on some gloves and helped the man with that. This story tells of excellent communication skills and even acts of kindness. Excellent communication skills are central to good customer care.

There is also the case of a 3-year-old boy who was badly beaten by the mothers boyfriend. After the boys grandfather got the news, he had to travel to Denver from LA for goodbye. The boys life support was about to be switched off and his organs would be used in saving other people. The wife of this man called Southwest Airline to get a seat for his husband. Even though the grandfather got to the airport two hours early, he got to the gate 12 minutes after time. However, the pilot has still waited for him.
